Spend 7 days diving around the Visayan archipelago which is part of the world famous coral triangle and the epicentre of marine diversity on earth, with many areas having lucid and azure waters. You will be experiencing the best sites the region has to offer. This includes the legendary sardine run, whale sharks, frogfish, pygmy seahorses, sharks and over 1,000 other species of fish and coral.  In our dive safari you will enjoy all the benefits of a liveaboard such as getting to the best dive sites which are further away while being able to enjoy the comforts of staying in resorts on shore.  In addition, you also get to do some land based excursions such as Kawasan Falls and Chocolate Hills.

We have teamed up with Savedra Dive Centre to offer this trip. The price is for the dive safari only which covers your diving, air, twin share accommodation and meals. A 25% deposit is required to reserve your space. Kit hire (excluding wetsuit) is included in the price if you are a DBS member. DBS is eligible for a further bulk discount depending on the number of divers going which we will pass down to you to reduce your cost. There are a number of wrecks that are up to 40m which can be explored by recreational divers. These wrecks include U74, Cyclops, Dove, Nidelvin and Upsidedown. We will start our journey from Eyemouth with one wreck dive followed by a final shallower reef dive. Depending on distance to wreck and weather, we may do two wreck dives instead.

The Isle of May has a wide range of dive sites which suits all levels. It is home to thousands of grey seals and seabirds. Sitting near the mouth of the Firth of Forth, it is weather dependent but on a good day, it provides some stunning diving. The rocky reefs support kelp forests – tall enough for divers (and seals!) to swim through, rich marine life and great visibility. Wolf fish, octopus and all sorts of spectacular corals and anemones all waiting to be seen. There are numerous open caves and swim-throughs as well as shallow wrecks. There are also some beautiful top side scenery to take in while you are there.

It has walls that drop to over 30m+, smothered in beautiful anemones and an impressive array of other marine life. Top side, it has a magical mix of seals and seabirds, particularly its stunning colony of over 150,000 gannets.

The Sound of Mull is probably only second to Scapa Flow as the most well known Scottish dive sites. The Sound is famous for the clarity of its water and the abundance of marine life. There is a range  of scenic, wreck and drift diving to cater for a wide range of interests – and sometimes you get all of that in one dive.  Dolphins and porpoises are common sightings. Did we mention that there are basking sharks around in the summer too? They are the second largest living fish in the world! Each day typically revolves around having the most amazing dives, interspersed by a spot of fishing off the boat during surface intervals and the opportunity for you to hand dive for king scallops – seafood doesn’t come fresher than this. For more info www.deepbluescuba.co.uk/whats-included-uk-trips

Diving in the Farne Islands is an assault on the senses with a variety of wreck and scenic dives on offer. It boasts one of the largest grey seal colonies in England – if you are looking for encounters with seals this is it. Be warned though – the seal pups come out to play in late September and October. They are very inquisitive and often come in to take a close look and even nibble on your fins!
