We are running the Project AWARE Specialty course at 1030AM on Sunday the 26th of July. This course is an introduction to Project AWARE as a global movement for ocean protection. It focuses and expands on the 10 Tips for Divers to Protect the Ocean Planet. Through interactive discussions, you’ll learn how you can make a difference for ocean protection every time you dive or travel. This specialty is ideal for divers and non-divers alike to gain insight into how decisions above and below the surface impact our water planet.
As a “fins off” course (meaning no dives required), participants need only to have an interest in the aquatic environment or a desire to take action for a clean and healthy ocean to enrol. Attendance will be free of charge to DBS Members. However, for £50 DBS members will also qualify as a Project AWARE Coral Reef Conservation Specialty diver, which counts towards your Master Scuba Diver rating! Non-Members can attend and get the certification for £60.
