2023/24 Committee

Deep Blue Scuba is a PADI dive club and training centre based in Edinburgh run entirely by volunteers who are very passionate about scuba diving. The Committee are elected by the Members of Deep Blue Scuba and are responsible for managing the affairs of our club in accordance with the Constitution.

Formalities aside, the volunteers that make all our activities possible extend beyond the contribution of the individuals below and are too numerous to name. They range from our Staff Members and Ordinary Members who selflessly give up their own personal time, over and above their day jobs to help so that we can share our passion for scuba diving with others. 	Gareth Smyth, President/Treasurer Gareth leads the Committee members in delivering the activities of Deep Blue Scuba in accordance with our Constitution. In other words, delivering top notch dive training, share our passion for scuba diving through a range of diving activities and keep our members’ interest at the forefront of our minds.  Gareth also looks after all matters financial for the club. 	Sarah Gregory, General Secretary Sarah will be your first point of contact for all enquiries to Deep Blue Scuba. Sarah will certainly be able to help you out on anything diving related or put you in touch with someone that can. Contact me at [email protected]
	Jeremy Brown, Training Jeremy oversees and coordinates all our training activities, from taster sessions to professional rating certifications. He makes sure that the courses we deliver are top notch using the latest teaching techniques and materials. When you train with us, you can be confident that you’ve got the best instruction. 	James Streetley, Trips James oversees and organises our dive trips. He is charged with keeping up with our insatiable need to be one with the water. 	Eddie Adie, Membership Whilst everyone is welcome to participate in our activities, being a member with us brings a range of benefits that isn’t available to non-members. Eddie is the keeper of our membership records, ensures that our members’ interest are at the forefront of our minds and that they receive up to date information on all activities of the club. 	Stevie Logan, Premises & Equipment Stevie makes sure our premises and equipment are always in tip top condition – and that’s a lot of equipment.
